amendments in cartoon

ENTRY 7

Amendment1:Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

This political cartoon show a priest bashing the head of a person who is considered a atheist with a cross. the reverend has a right to believe in god by the words of amendment 1. but also under that amendment no man can force their religion on a person by legislature. and also everyone is free to believe in what they want. this is why the atheist expresses himself by taking and breaking the cross in 2.

Opinion: i believe the 1st amendment is one of the best created because of the simple fact of freedom of expression. in America u have the right to say and express what you feel in any way possible. whether its religion or just a everyday thought. you speak whats on your mind and that's how it should stay. we can say what we feel but we can't force our beliefs on someone else we have to accept the fact that everyone has a opinion in life. the U.S.A. understands that process that what this amendment focuses on. freedom.

ENTRY 8
Amendment 2:A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

This cartoon shows a man coming into his office of work with a loaded gun. his boss gives a valiant effort to try and stop him but has no luck in this because he keeps going with the constitution in his hand. showing his boss to his face that this is in the law of the united states constitution. saying that he can carry a gun. his boss has no way of confronting the law so he stares in shock. this gives a funny understanding as to what the 2nd amendment is trying to say.

Opinion: This law is a sketchy one because the law clearly states that you have the right to carry a gun in the united states. but how far does that go. does that mean we can walk down the street with a loaded 9mm pistol in hand. or can we step on a plane with a automatic rifle. clearly this law has limits but when is it truly OK to express this right in the world today. there aren't really any instances when you can really express this right in full. only times are in the armed forces or in the process of self defense.

ENTRY 9
Amendment 4:The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

This cartoon shows the rights of the 4th amendment. which is that law enforcement agencies cannot search or seize any property or possessions that you own without a warrant or probable cause. This makes it that police do not search your things that you do not want searched or take things you want to keep. the police never an search or seize your things without a proper warrant distributed by the courts. this law protects us from crooked authorities and also gives the right to privacy this is clearly all shown in the cartoon. the policeman is about to kick down the door of the 4th amendment with a fake warrant.

Opinion:this law should never be changed at all this protects us as united states citizens. this amendment gives us a right to privacy as American citizens and i feel as if this law were to be changed it that it would give law enforcement uncontrolled freedom. they would search and take things from anybody the thought was a so called "Criminal" this amendment shows more than a little reason on why we should care for America. this law shows with all those politicians. the ones in the past new what was going to be the right choice for the long run.
